AIGA's Living Principles: A Living Reference for Responsible Design AIGA
Design Problem
AIGA’s Living Principles are a power resource for responsible design, however there is only a website and PDF with no physical component to the Living Principles. AIGA needed a tangible asset that they could give out or sell to increase awareness of the Living Principles.
Solution
Since the Living Principles are divided into four steams, it was important to carry the number four throughout the design. There are four books; the first details the actual principles, the second is a collection of articles and essays the support the Living Principles, the third book is a glossary of responsible design terms, and the fourth book is the production specs for the collection—proving that green doesn’t have to be dull. The books are Japanese stab bound and are collected in folding box that houses a removable tray that lets readers add their own content.
