Art Basel Miami Beach 2010 Promotional Program Art Basel
Design Problem
Art Basel needed a driving concept and supporting promotional campaign for the 2010 Miami Beach event.
Solution
The final design direction was the idea of converging ideas; the rationale behind the concept is that there are a large variety of artists and guest all with different outlooks on life converging into a single point. This represented with a golden spiral in the form of a nautilus and sunflower. The campaign includes: a two-sided promotional poster, event fliers, and a direct mailer/program.

Promotional Poster
A double sided poster featuring the nautilus and sunflower motifs with the event details on one side and the list of featured artists on the the other.

Event Fliers
A pair of double sided fliers/takeaways highlighting two of the main events.

Direct Mailer / Program (Cover)
To add visual interest, the program features a laser cut design of the nautilus shell that lets viewers peek into the following spread, giving readers a glimpse of what's to come.

Direct Mailer / Program (Introduction)
This spread features work from varying artists that will be attending the event.

Direct Mailer / Program (Overview)
This spread introduces readers to Art Basel, provides some back story to the event and addresses travel information.

Direct Mailer / Program (Event Listing)
A sample program spread that lists the names, locations, and times for all of the events going on that day.
